Pure Scotch Ceilidh Band will make sure you are kept on your feet with its upbeat rhythm and great choice of dances.
We can provide a ceilidh band to suit your specific needs and make it a night to remember – whether it is for a birthday party, student ball, community ceilidh, club dance, wedding, or other special occasion.

We can provide a three to six piece band in line with your requirements, and most importantly, to make sure no-one misses out on a dance, we have an experienced caller who can walk the floor and call the instructions before and during every dance. That way, everyone knows the moves!

My name is D.K. Marley, and for as long as I can remember, books have been my passion. There’s nothing quite like wandering through a bookshop—scanning covers, reading blurbs, savoring the first lines, and yes, even inhaling the scent of a freshly opened book. Add a cup of tea or coffee to the experience, and it’s my idea of a perfect outing.
My love for historical fiction has always been at the heart of my reading and writing journey. It’s a genre that transports us through time, immersing us in the past with every turn of the page. Owning a bookshop dedicated to this passion, where I can support fellow authors and share timeless stories, has long been a dream of mine. RECAPTURING THE ELEGANCE OF REGENCY DANCE.
LONDON
We're a convivial group of men and women based in central London, who learn 18th century social dances and perform them in authentic costume to magnificent baroque music, recapturing the charm and playfulness of the Georgian ballroom.
​
The era is known for neat elegance but also boisterous fun, and both are reflected in the popular dances of the time. Styles like the minuet, sarabande and bourrée, with their distinctive rhythms and intricate geometric patterns, allowed fashionable dancers to show off their fine technique and graceful bearing. But later in the evening, everyone could join in the simpler and more lively contradanses - a rare opportunity to socialise and flirt, unrestrained by chaperones!
Although these dances appeared at court balls, provincial assembly rooms and private parties across Europe and its colonies for more than 250 years, they're now all but forgotten.
We find them fascinating, challenging and enchanting - and so, a stone's throw from the site of some of the first performances, we bring them back to life.
